Memories create connections between different parts of your brain, and sometimes, these connections aren't fully processed. This can leave us with upsetting memories that linger and cause pain. Through nervous system-based therapy, we complete the processing of troubling experiences, integrating them, and even transforming them into positive ones. They become facts of your past that no longer hold power over you.
You don’t need to recount the details of your difficult life experiences if you don't want to. You're in control of the process, while I guide you through it. I will help you identify triggering images and sensations and over time replace them with positive ones. Once the negative bits are integrated, most clients find relief from irritability and intrusive thoughts. You will be able to remember the facts without the pain.
Beyond our sessions, I’ll teach you tools to take home. These tools will empower you to continue the healing process on your own, helping you manage your emotions, calm your nerves and alleviate anxiety.
