Fees & Scheduling

Clear expectations create more room for meaningful work.

Beginning Therapy with Clarity

THERAPY IS BOTH A PERSONAL AND FINANCIAL COMMITMENT. THE INFORMATION BELOW EXPLAINS HOW EACH SERVICE IS STRUCTURED, WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO PAY, AND HOW SCHEDULING AND RESCHEDULING WORK.

Therapy is a commitment of time, energy, and financial resources. Weekly therapy begins with an initial course of eight 45-minute sessions totaling $1,960, paid in four installments of $490 before Sessions 1, 3, 5, and 7. With each payment, you are reserving your weekly appointment time for the next two sessions. Therapy intensives, couples therapy, and evaluations follow separate fee structures.

I intentionally limit the number of clients in my practice so that I can offer thoughtful, attentive care. I take your commitment seriously, and my work continues between sessions through reviewing your progress, preparing resources, consulting when appropriate, and pursuing ongoing advanced training.

Scheduling & Rescheduling

Your Weekly Appointment

Weekly therapy is scheduled at a recurring appointment time reserved for you. Sessions are scheduled in advance rather than one appointment at a time.

When You Need to Reschedule

Make-up sessions may be scheduled the week before, during the same week, or the week following the original appointment, subject to availability. Make-up sessions are held virtually while you are located in California.

Cancellations

Weekly clients receive one courtesy unplanned cancellation within each 52-week period. Sessions that cannot be attended or made up are handled according to the practice cancellation policy. You are not charged when Dr. Pipkins cancels or for regularly observed practice holidays.

Insurance, Superbills & Payment

Dr. Pipkins does not accept insurance. Superbills are available upon request for clients with out-of-network reimbursement benefits. Reimbursement is determined by your insurance provider and cannot be guaranteed.

Advance payments are applied to sessions as they occur. Superbills reflect completed therapy sessions and their individual dates of service.
