Adult ADHD Assessments
You’re not lazy. You’re not broken. You may have ADHD.
Thoughtful ADHD evaluations
Many adults seek ADHD assessments because something about attention, focus, organization, or follow-through feels persistently difficult — even when they are capable, intelligent, and highly motivated.
I offer a comprehensive, time-limited ADHD assessment designed to clarify whether ADHD criteria are met, while carefully distinguishing ADHD from other factors that can affect concentration, motivation, and executive functioning.
This service is focused on diagnostic clarification, not ongoing therapy. A completed assessment may or may not result in an ADHD diagnosis. The purpose of the evaluation is to determine what best explains a person’s experience, using multiple sources of information.
A careful, paced assessment model
My approach is shaped by training in large healthcare systems, where diagnostic decisions were expected to be both clinically rigorous and ethically sound.
Rather than relying on a single long interview or questionnaires alone, I use a multi-step process that allows time for review, reflection, and synthesis. This structure is intentional — it helps reduce fatigue, minimizes over- or under-diagnosis, and supports clinically supportive decision-making.
Evaluations are not treated as hurdles to clear, but as tools to help people understand themselves more clearly and make informed decisions about next steps.
ADHD Doesn’t Always Look Hyperactive.
What This Service Includes
Review of standardized ADHD self-report measures completed in advance
Review of functional impairment across daily life domains
Two focused clinical interview sessions (45 minutes each)
Careful assessment of current symptoms and developmental history
Time for clinical review and integration of all assessment materials
A dedicated feedback conversation (30 minutes)
A written diagnostic summary documenting findings and conclusions
This model is intentionally designed to balance thoroughness with respect for attention, energy, and nervous system limits.
A Differentiated, Strengths - Based Approach
Attention difficulties can arise from many sources, including anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep problems, medical conditions, and environmental stressors.
My role is not to assume ADHD is present — or absent — but to carefully evaluate whether ADHD best accounts for the concerns you’re experiencing.
This includes:
Differentiating ADHD from other mental health conditions
Attending to developmental history without over-interrogation
Considering functional impact, not just symptom endorsement
Avoiding pathologizing high achievers, coping strategies, or burnout
When ADHD criteria are met, I aim to communicate that clearly and responsibly. When they are not, I work to help clients understand what is contributing to their difficulties and what supports may be more appropriate.

About My Approach
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with training in evidence-based assessment and experience working within large healthcare systems.
That background continues to shape how I approach ADHD evaluations today — particularly the importance of careful differentiation, ethical restraint, and feedback that helps people make sense of their experience without oversimplifying it.
I do not believe diagnoses should be rushed.
I do believe they should be made carefully, transparently, and with respect for the person seeking clarity.
